History

The Garni dolcevita was firstly called Garni Muller. In 1907 Mr Muller built the Garni and the building was only on two floors.
After 40 years Mr Muller decided to hand over the Garni to the Staub family. They kept the name but improved the structure of the Garni up to five floors.
35 years later the Garni Muller was acquired by Mr and Mrs Moduli. They restored a small store house in the garden that was used for tools and changed it into a comfortable sweet little two floors house that was named the Cottage. After 25 years, Mr and Mrs Moduli planned to retire, deciding to sell the estate.
From this point the recent story of the Garni begins, and the Garni Muller becomes Garni Dolcevita.

Who We Are

We are the Fonti Family, Susana, Stefano and the newborn baby Gilda, together with the warm support of our most beloved dogs Mango and Agata. After spending many years living exposed to many different cultures we decided to leave our most beloved Cape Town and move to the sunshine of Ticino.
Our story has a slight touch of madness, Stefano was born into a mixed family, Italian and German. Susana is also born into a mixed family, Spanish and Cuban.
You may ask yourself how and why we ended up in Swirzerland and most of all why did we choose to get involved into the Garni? Well, having spent many years abroad in luxury hotels and B&B, we believe we can offer a great service of hospitality ad personam to our guests, with a touch of privacy and the warmth of a tipical private house.
With the new season Andrea and Antonio  will offer you the same hospitality

Garni Dolcevita also has a beautiful garden for guests and last but not least a breathtaking view of the Lake Maggiore.
Ticino has a mediterranean nature that enables people to fully enjoy the gift of a pollution free environment.

The Garni Dolcevita has rooms to offer with balcony and lake view, cottage in the garden or mountain view.
